Book cover Design
for Vanetta Morrison
Cover design created for book entitled “Me, Myself and Impostor: How to boss your Impostor Syndrome through 'The F.R.A.U.D. Framework™'”. Preliminary sketches explored the idea of someone who feels like an impostor, wearing a mask and not being able to show up as their true selves. This mask was made by creating a wave-like pattern with brand colours, which was likened to a storm, representing someone facing an inner battle. The “shadow concept” was eventually chosen, whereby the “impostor” was illustrated to be hovering over an individual’s shoulder, which explains the two characters displayed on the cover.
PATTERN CREATED FROM BRAND COLOURS
Hemispheres
Vector illustration of brain with vibrant and contrasting colours for maximum impact. This piece showcases Sabrina’s love for abstract shapes, as well as the human body, simplifying the complex organ into a captivating and memorable visual.
Portraits
Short illustration series depicting women full of colour, vibrance and creativity. Portraits initially ideated with paper and pencil; later brought to life in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The gradient fills and fluid abstract shapes represent movement and flexibility – A salute to the incredible ability women have to adapt, transform and blossom throughout all seasons.
When worlds collide
Vector illustrations drawn digitally in Adobe Illustrator, with abstract shapes revealing a portion of the environment or world that each character resides in: The scientist’s laboratory and the artist’s studio.
